​GFS has been in Kenya since 1961 and is active in the Dioceses of Mombasa and Taita/Teveta.

​The main focus is to spread the Gospel, prepare young women for marriage, provide skills in cooking and artwork and provide counselling services. Membership is divided into Junior, Senior and Guardian Mothers.

Total membership is around 1500.
